Sharon is at home today doing a few little chores. She didn't rest very well last night and has been a little unsettled today. Remember that last week she cleaned house all day on Tuesday. I'm wondering if she will have this surge of energy every Tuesday. So far, the hair is still hanging on. She said that there is not much feeling when she tugs on a strand of hair. So we expect it to let loose anytime. Also, food doesn't taste quite the same. She is eating, though. All in all, she is doing quite well considering the chemo that is going into her body. Her Oncologist was very encouraging yesterday. We expect to get to the other side of this cancer looking back at how God has used this and us to show His power.
We have had so many meals, cards, kind emails, encouraging notes. Thank you all. We look forward to hearing from each of you as you have time.
I wake most mornings with a song in my head. Today was "Whiter than Snow." Lord Jesus I long to be perfectly whole. That is our prayer for Sharon. Keep praying with me.

Hello there Doug & Sharon! Happy to hear that Sharon is holding her own since starting chemo. Yes, the tasting thing goes along with it. Then she may have urges of a certain food... Emily would always have those urges for things that normally she didn't care for. One evening she wanted a Ice Cream Cake, and I remember walking all over the City (NYC) looking for a store that sold one. Memories!! Take Care of yourself & hope that it helps just knowing that people all over the country are praying for your entire family!! Lord is so good!!
One should not think the Holy Spirit does not connect hearts. Doug, I woke up this morning singing the same song. If that is evidence enough-I've been reading a series of books (4) by Terri Blackstock & ths 3rd one is about a woman with breast cancer.
We pray for you all daily & send our love
Carolyn
Sharon and Doug,
Just want you to know I check your blog daily for updates. I enjoy all the postings and find much encouragement from all the friends and associates who claim God's promises in your life. It has been very refreshing to read of the courage and of course your continued strength. Remember when you and I were students at Erlanger they secretly called us "The Chipmucks" because of our energy....well, now after reading Doug's posting today, I can see you every Tuesday zipping through the house cleaning (HA!). Keep hanging....you've 2 less treatments to face now!
Love,
Cever
