Happy Birthday, Dad. (He's 80 today.)
We are at the half way point with chemo. Sharon did well yesterday with her treatment. Her liver enzymes are elevated. We are concerned about that. If they get too much higher the doctor will need to reduce the dosage. I haven't had a chance to talk to Sharon today. She went back to work this morning for a partial day. She was still resting when I left for prayer breakfast and was not home when I went for lunch. Melissa told me that she didn't sleep very well last night. That is becoming the norm for Monday and Tuesday nights. We'll see how tonight goes.
As for your prayers - Wednesday is the hard day as Sharon comes off the steriod and feels the full effect of the chemo on her body. She has continuous and tremendous back and side pain on Wednesday and Thursday. She also gets quite low emotionally. If you will, pray for her on Wednesday anytime you think of her. And if you want to let her know of your prayers, either post that here on the blog or send her an email at sharoncjewett@cs.com. Thanks again for all your love and prayers.

Sharon, Doug & Girls; I'll be sure to be praying everytime I think of your family on Wednesday. Certain days of the week will have that effect on you. I'll be praying for strength to get through the days ahead. It continues to be "freezing" here and tonight they are saying more freezing rain. Everyone around here is ready to have "spring" arrive. I want to wish you a very Blessed & Happy Easter. Just wanted you to know that we care & support you. I know that we have never met (yet!) but I do know how hard each day is. I know that the Lord will guide you in every step of the road ahead.
Sharon, Doug, Melissa and Laura,
Thank you for being willing to share with us by way of this blog. It is so helpful to be able to pray more intelligently.
You each have your individual challenges. May God give each of you the strength you need each day.
I pray this Easter season will bring you blessings and peace, and that God will encourage you in a special way.
I pray that you get the rest that you need, especially for Sharon that you will sleep peacefully.
God bless you.
Love, Cathy
Mrs. Jewett,
I'm praying for you and the family the best I know how. May God give you the strength you need and a joy that could only come from Him.
Love,
Heather
Dear Jewitt family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Margaret has kept us up on what is happening. Mary Ellen has been reading your blog and Jennifer and Steve in Maryland have also asked how you are doing. You are all very special to us and pray for a full recovery.
Love,
Mary Anne Knack
Hi Sharon,
Just wanted to let you know that I've been praying for you and your family. I 'wish' you all the best!I just got a call from a doctor visit I had last week and I've been told I have melanoma on my arm. I have to go in tomorrow to figure out what I need to do. He scraped off the mole last week.
Much love, Peggy Davis (Tasha's mom)
