Of all the terrible things we have heard about chemo we want to think that the prayers you have been offering on our behalf have taken the edge off of the worst. Sharon has had somewhat normal days. She is tired and uncomfortable but she feels ok otherwise. We were told that she would lose her hair after the second treatment. She and Melissa went to get the wigs styled yesterday but so far she hasn't started losing hair. Of course, we all keep watching for that moment when it will all let loose at once! The only nuisance that Sharon is dealing with is a nose bleed. It seems to bleed a little almost continually. Sometimes it will bleed a lot. This and the expectancy of the hair loss keep us on edge. Isn't it interesting that in our human form "uncertainty" is what causes us most anxiety. So I'm reminded of Psalm 55:22 - Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall. So we claim another promise and hope that you will claim it, too, in your life as uncertainties creep in.
Again, thank you for all your prayers and thoughtful concern. May we all find strength in our faith in a loving God.

Hi Sharon,
It is so nice to be able to keep up with what's going on with the blog site. I pray that you will continue to do good after the treatments. My new favorite saying is "If He brings you to it, He will bring you thru it." We love you and you are constanly in our prayers and thoughts. Donna
Happy to hear that you were at Choir last night. I just talked to Carrie. You've been an incouragement to me!! Thank-you. I know that there will be a day that we meet!! The nose bleeds may be the cause of your platelets becoming low. I remember that would happen with Emily. Praying that you have a good weekend in the sunshine! Although I have been hearing that Florida is getting rain. Much needed I'm sure. Take Care. We head to NYC March 13th for Emily's routine Doctors appointements & X-rays. We're always happy to know that we're not staying long!
Hi Doug and Sharon,
Thanks for your updates on progress and prayers continue on your behalf. It was good to see your mother at church on Sunday and several crowded around to discuss all the ways help was available to her this week. She will be "checked" on frequently. Know you are in our hearts here in Clinton and will look forward to hearing from you again soon. Love to you all, Martha and all
"BC" (Before Chemo)I was less appreciative than now when greeted with "Good to see you!". I now sometimes respond "good to be seen" - that gets a laugh but I do mean it. And in that context it was wonderful to see you in choir this morning - I am looking forward to your choice of hair styles.

Sharon, Doug & girls; Thank-you for the prayers concerning "power". It just came on within the past hour. I'm really thankful for that. Our area was hit hard with ice & snow! We didn't have school today and possibly tomorrow. We'll wait & see. I'm hoping that you had a nice relaxing weekend. Take Care & we continue to pray for the family.
Hi Sharon & Doug & family: This is a voice from your past - Vicki & Steve Wilson. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and will be each day. A friend gave me a paraphrased verse when Steve was diagnosed 4 yrs ago w/Multiple Myeloma -- "Have no fear what tomorrow may bring. The same loving God who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day. God will either shield you from suffering or give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings." I read this each and every day. I know He is walking with you through this valley in your lives. God will provide His Mercy, His Grace, and His Strength as you fight this battle. Still miss you guys a lot and our good times at FBC. Love and prayers, Vicki & Steve
