Hello,
This post is from Kim Jewett . . I am known as Aunt Kim to many. I am one of the fortunate ones who gets to live only a few miles from Doug and Sharon and will be able to physically pass on the hugs and well wishes you all send. When I suggested this blog as a way to communicate updates I anticipated a time when I would need to post in Doug's place. Today is one of those days but only because their schedule is so very busy this weekend. The "hits" on this blog sometimes average over 100 a day!! That says a lot and we want to keep everyone updated as frequently as possible.
According to Doug, Sharon has done well with her first week of Chemo. She has been a bit tired but is able to go to a bridal shower today and will drive down to Miami with Doug this afternoon to visit our nephew, Mason, who is in town for a concert. She will have a second chemo treatment on Monday and has gotten a couple wigs and head coverings as they anticipate the hair fallout will happen soon. Please pray for her as she settles into this "new normal".
For those who have requested their home address, please feel free to email me directly at kim.jewett@comcast.net as it is a bit dangerous to post direct addresses and phone numbers in Cyberspace. I would be happy to forward it to you.
Keep the replies coming as they are really uplifting to everyone.

Hello from TN. This is a time of healing as God has chosen you to show HIS everylasting presence in the time of trials. Even though miles separate us, I will never forget your families impact on mine during our days at First Baptist Church. I am just a door knock away from your moms if she or your family needs me. Please know that you are being covered in prayers from the Clinton community and especially me. I cannot wait to hear of all your successes! God bless you dear sister and know the prayers are ofen!

Hello & thrilled to hear from Carrie that you were able to attend church today. That's one thing that I really miss is our church from Alpena, MI (Word of Life Baptist). I have tried every church we have in this "very small" VILLAGE and nothing feels right. I did attend a church in Hague, NY for about 4 yrs. then they had some terrible problems. Emily & I left that church. I know that having a church family is so very important. It keeps me connected!! Have a wonderful day. You're in my daily prayers. I'm hoping to meet you & your family sometime. I love to visit Carrie. You just never know when I'll be visiting. Carrie & I are alot alike!!! Even though I am the "youngest" in the family. Ha, ha, ha...
Dear Sharon,
I wanted you to know how wonderful it was to see you smiling and singing in the choir this morning. The hymns were especially meaningful to me. (Ask Doug about the "As the Deer" connection) :-)
I will be leaving the area on Tuesday, but you will definitely be in our prayers (Bert's and mine). We look forward to seeing you in October.
Luv,
Ruth
Dear Aunt Sharon,
I hope you are feeling better. My club at school, Students for Christ, has been praying for you for at least a month. You have friends in Memphs.
Love, Amy
Hi Sharon,
It took a few days and conversations with Doug and my sister Patti, but I think I can send a comment now! I must be getting too old. These new high tech ways of communicating are difficult for me to understand sometimes. I just want to send my Love and want you to know that you are all in my prayers daily.
Love, Carrie King
Hello Sharon and family!! I am so glad to hear you are all doing well in these trying times. We all miss you very much here at work and continue to ask about your progress. I am missing your smiling face in the evening during report. My family and I are praying for Sharon's health and healing as well as for strength(for your family as well). It is good to hear you have been able to visit with family and continue to sing in the choir. I just wanted to let you know that you have been in my thoughts as well as many others here at work. We all can't wait for you to get better...there just seems to be a missing link here at work without you. God bless!
Love, Cristal
