Today is the third day after chemo. I hear that it is the toughest day of the week. Sharon is very tired today. She may have done too much yesterday. I think she was so pleased not to have any nausea that she was excited and cleaned too much of the house. Today she is taking it easy and resting. She's working on her Beth Moore Bible study that she missed in the last two weeks. It is important to her to keep up with the study.
We go back for the second treatment next Monday. We guess they will be once a week for now. There has been no time frame given or any prognosis suggested. We will see what her unique body does with this chemicals.
Sharon has worked hard her entire adult life. This sitting around is difficult. Pray that God gives her calm as she waits for the healing process to take place. Thanks for all you are doing.

Please remember that rest is essential to repair the damage that the chemo is inducing to destroy the "bad cells" and grow back "good cells". I pray for peace in your rest. Deut 31:8 tells us that God is the One who will go before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not be afaid or discouraged.
Love you- Margaret
Dearest Sharon,
You are such a special friend and such an inspiration to all. We think of you often and miss your beautiful smile at MMC.
As you know GOD is still in the healing business and that is my prayer for you and your family. I know this must be a very difficult time for you and your family and I think it is awesome that you realize the importance of sharing your hard times with your friends knowing we are there for you and will do anything we can to help.
Thanks Doug for keeping us informed and for taking such good care of Sharon.
Lots of hugs and prayers coming your way..Love you Sharon !!!

What a great way to keep people informed. Will we soon see a photo from the chemo salon, patients pouring intently into their wireless laptops. Makes sense -

Dear Sharon & Doug,
You all are in our thoughts & prayers during this journey. Our daughter-in-law traveled this road several years ago and it does affect the entire family. As always, your Faith will sustain you.
It is hard to believe that your girls are now grown-up young ladies. They are such beauties, you must be very proud.
Your Morristown Family will continue to lift all of you up in our prayers.
Love to you, Donna & Jack
Dear Sharon and family,
What a beautiful picture! We want you to know Gene and I are praying for you. God continues to do miracles! We remember fondly all the years you were in Clinton. Do take good care of yourself, Sharon, and I know Doug is by your side to be sure that you do.
Love and hugs,
Gene and Mary
Dear Sharon, Doug and beautiful daughters,
I had the great pleasure of meeting all of you last April in Atlanta. You had flown in to honor my Uncle Mickey and comfort my Aunt Rosie (you probably know her as Rose Marie). It was so nice to finally meet you all as I had heard for years about what lovely and talented folks you are...and Rosie is always right...I saw for myself how truly wonderful you are. Sharon, Rosie told me about this situation you find yourself in last week and I am so sorry this is happening to you and your family. The good news that comes from this is finding how rich you are with so many friends. I know each and everyone of them wishes will all their hearts they could fix this immediately and make it all go away. I know Rosie desperately wants you well and so do I.
I will be checking in on you via this blog and will be praying for your recovery and an easy journey back to good health.

Love, Joani and Dave Thomas
Sharon,
Bob and I wanted you to know that you are in our prayers daily. We are also praying for Doug, Melissa and Laura as you all go through this difficult time together. We are only a phone call away if you need anything.
Love, Marilyn
Sharon and Doug: we were so sorry to hear of your devastating news earlier in the month, but have been holding you up in our prayers daily since. Thanks for your strong faith testimony as you work your way through these tough paths ahead. So many songs come to mind in addition to your "Be Still...", and as I ride the roads over middle GA singing along to CMen CDs I lift up the songs for you.
Blessings as you continue your treatments on the road to recovery.
Our prayers are with you all the way.

Good Saturday Morning; I have been trying to find your home address on this blog. Could you please post it somewhere. There are us that don't have any idea what your address is. Those of us that you have never yet met. Have a good weekend.
Hi Mom! Dave's parents wanted to post a comment but weren't able to get it to work so they asked me to post it for them:
Dear Sharon and family,
Chuck and I are holding you before the Lord as you go through this trial. The Beth Moore study is bound to encourage and keep your hearts at peace as you contemplate God's enduring love and care. This should be your only activity if you have been ordered to rest. I know your daughters will take care of everything else. We are looking forward to visiting you soon.
WIth love and prayer,
Janet and Chuck
Hi Sharion, I am still trying to grasp this news. It is hard to believe that around this time last year we were all together never dreaming that you would be facing this mountain. Our God is an Awesome God and He is The Great Provider. You have a great host of strong prayer warriors praying for you and I know you are going to be all right. You are young, you are strong, and you have a great deal to live for. I too pray for peace in your rest but, I also pray that you will find joy and laughter again. These are great healers and I pray that God will show you the right path.
I love you, Ada Ann
Dear Doug, Sharon and the girls:
Even though we are hundreds of miles away in little Jacksboro, TN, you are in our constant thought and prayers. We miss you guys and the times we spent together - we will never forget them or you. Having learned that Tracy had breast cancer last October, we are still reeling from the experience, but we came away knowing that God is still in the miracle business. Now, Tracy is cancer-free and has a great testimony that she has shared with so many others - that is our prayer for Sharon. Rom. 1:9 KJV
Sharon, Doug, Melissa and Laura,
Great family picture....the girls have grown into beautiful young women and I see a handsome young man in the background!!!!
Sharon, we continue to think about you and pray for your progress every day. Sounds like you have a wonderful support system and a church full of friends.
We hope you have a great day on May 10th....enjoy and receive all the blessings that your friends and family want to give you on that day. God knows your heart and all the kind things you have done for others in the past....now is it time for others to return those blessings to you and the family. Now it is time to take care of yourself.
Although you guys are far away there are many in Clinton praying for you.
Cathy and Roger
